More information on products I mention:

Food/Drink

  • Artisana nut butters – I love all of their raw organic nut butters, but I can’t get enough of the coconut butter. Coconut butter is not just coconut oil – it includes the meat of the coconut. Their selection is pricey, so I pick and choose what I want to spend the money on. For example, I buy their coconut butter (usually from Whole Foods Market), but I make my own tahini in my Vitamix from whole sesame seeds and a little coconut oil.
  • Barlean’s sells organic flax oil (and other high omega-3 oils) and high quality fish oil in various forms (liquid, capsules, and their awesome flavored Swirls).
  • Betty Lou’s Just Great Stuff makes organic powdered peanut butter and dried fruit/veggie bars. I also happen to love their Angell candy bars, but candy doesn’t need my endorsement on health and fitness blog!
  • Celtic Sea Salt for healthy hydration
  • Frontier Co-op has a wide selection of organic and/or fair trade spices. Fair trade and organic is important to me. People living in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, or other countries where our spices come from – they deserve to be paid decently. I buy Frontier products from Amazon typically. Thank you Amazon for Prime shipping!
  • NuNaturals liquid stevia comes in flavors: peppermint, vanilla, orange, lemon.

Kitchen Tools

  • Soda Stream to make your own carbonated beverages. Don’t spend all that money on cans (which most people do not recycle despite the fact that you get money back from recycling).
  • Vitamix Blenders are the best blenders and totallly worth the money. They can blend avocado pits! I leave it to you if you actually want to do that, but it is impressive. They can also make soup, nut butter, ice cream, and of course smoothies!
